The straightforward beauty of KD-CAMUSB is through plug and play usage. Simply plug in the USB cable to any laptop or computer for immediate use and control of the responsive camera. By engineering the KD-CAMUSB to connect via USB versus encumbering the camera with additional connections options such as LAN, HDMI, and others that most presenters simply do not have or do not use, Key Digital is able to offer the camera at a highly competitive and cost-effective price point. Users love that they can use this high-quality camera with zero set-up time. The camera requires no additional software or driver installation and offers compatibility with most computers using Windows, MAC, and Linux operating systems. The camera features 10x optical zoom, 1080p resolution, the option to store and recall presets, and pan and tilt. Fast and accurate auto focus is delivered via a leading auto focus algorithm for a high-quality image during and quickly after adjusting the camera’s view. KD-CAMUSB features video resolutions from 320x240p at 30fps up to 1920x1080p at 30fps and is adjustable via the KD-Cam app downloaded free from the Microsoft Store, or via the default Windows camera viewer. KD-CAMUSB allows for up to 12 presets to be accessed on the home, privacy, and numeric buttons for quick and easy viewing of the desired participants. Home and privacy settings may also be adjusted to fit the mounting perspective. Common control is achieved with the intuitive and ergonomic IR remote control, RS-232, or VISCA controllers. For users looking for a PC based control software for the KD-CAMUSB, Key Digital offers the free KD-Cam application for user-friendly camera control and preview. KD-Cam may be used on its own or while concurrently running video editing or conferencing software. The application features lower-thirds for personalized two-rows of text or ability to import PNG images such as company logos and more. KD-Cam offers a simplified control panel for presets, pan, tilt, and zoom. The settings menu offers resolution adjustment, left/right reverse, picture flip, and pan speed. The advanced properties controls include brightness, contrast, hue, saturation, gamma, white balance, backlight compensation, gain, exposure, low light compensation, and anti-flicker adjustments. External microphones are necessary for audio with use of KD-CAMUSB as the camera does not feature a built-in mic. The included KD-CAMUSB mounting hardware allows for wall and ceiling mounting options, and the device may also be table-surface mounted.
